The Trust is supporting NHS East Midland’s ‘Hand in Hand, Fighting Infection Together’ campaign, which returns for the third year and aims to reduce healthcare associated infections by raising awareness of infection prevention and the importance of hand hygiene.
As part of the campaign, a ‘true/false’ quiz machine, which challenges assumptions about antibiotics, hand hygiene and cleanliness, will be touring the region throughout February and March.
On Saturday 6 March the quiz machine will be in the reception area of the Trust's Millbrook Mental Health Unit, at King's Mill Hospital. Infection control staff will be on hand to talk to people, demonstrate hand-washing techniques and answer any questions. Also, look out for publicity materials in Trust inpatient areas.
