Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust the county’s mental health and learning disability service provider has appointed a new Clinical Director for Adult Mental Health services in the county.
Dr Phil Meats commences work in the role from 1 September. He will be assisted by a team of three Lead Consultants in focusing on delivering high quality, patient-centred services throughout Nottinghamshire.
Dr Meats said: “I am relishing the challenge of taking on the post of Clinical Director for Adult Mental Health in the County. I am looking forward to working with my colleagues within the directorate and across the Trust as well as those who commission our services. In order to ensure that we deliver the best care and spend funding wisely in this economic climate, it is vital to have strong co-operation and communication with partners and colleagues. We should have confidence that we can achieve our aims and enjoyment from a job well done.”
Dr Meats will involve experienced and practicing clinicians in the management of the Adult Mental Health directorate.
In his spare time, Dr Meats enjoys climbing and mountaineering.
