Mrs Christine Lovett has been appointed as Non-Executive Director at Nottinghamshire Healthcare.
Christine, a qualified Psychotherapist, will begin her new role with the county’s mental health, learning disability and community service provider on 1 July 2011.
Christine was the Director of Strategy and Organisation Development at the National College for School Leadership and has an extensive business background in both the public and private sector. Her background in marketing and customer management as well as her commitment to leadership and team development will prove invaluable in her new role.
Professor Dean Fathers is Chair of the Trust and commented: "As a Foundation Trust standard organisation, Nottinghamshire Healthcare requires NEDs to be of the highest calibre. Christine brings to the Board a depth and breadth of experience worthy of the Trust's high demands and expectations."
Commenting on her appointment, Christine said: “I am very much looking forward to commencing in my new role within Nottinghamshire Healthcare. I will be particularly interested in working in the area of team development and I hope to bring my expertise and knowledge to the benefit of the Trust whilst at the same time learning and experiencing new challenges myself.”
Christine lives with her family in West Bridgford in Nottingham.
All non-executive appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity (if any declared) to be made public. Mrs Christine Lovett has declared no political activity and has held no other ministerial appointments. This appointment has been made in accordance with the Commissioner for Public Appointments’ Code of Practice. Non-executive directors are remunerated with £6,096 per annum. Christine’s period of appointment as a non-executive director is for four years and is due to end on 30 June 2015.
