Trust’s excellent services help to secure £1.25 million contract

Nottinghamshire Healthcare, one of the leading mental health and learning disability service providers in the country, has successfully won a contract to provide facilities services to the county’s Primary Care Trust (PCT).

The three year contract worth £1.25 million a year will commence in April 2008. The Trust will provide services such as catering, cleaning, portering and equipment maintenance to 22 of Nottinghamshire County Teaching PCT’s premises, including a number of its Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) sites.

The Trust competed against over 30 organisations to win the contract, with the excellence of its services and high standards contributing to its successful assessment. In the PCT’s evaluation, the Trust scored highly on site visits, finance and quality. The PCT was also impressed by the Trust’s innovation, professionalism and staff training.

The contract will benefit the Trust, the people that use its services and those who care for them through enabling further investment in improving services and providing staff development opportunities.

Mike Speakman, Director of Facilities at Nottinghamshire Healthcare, says: “We are very pleased to have been awarded with this significant contract. We have worked very hard to secure the contract and our success in achieving this is thanks to the efforts of Mark Davies, Hotel Services Manager for Local Services, and his team.

“We are committed to providing services of the highest standard and the successful award of the contract shows recognition of this. The contract will help us to continue this excellence to the benefit of the people who use our services.”
