Trust seeks views to improve services

The Trust has launched a survey to gain people’s views on its community mental health services.

A sample of 850 adults who used these services between July and September 2009 have been sent a survey, asking for feedback on the care received. The survey includes questions on a range of topics such as medications, care plans, talking therapies, care coordinators and crisis care.

The survey is being undertaken as part of a national programme led by the Care Quality Commission to improve the patient experience. The results will be used by the Trust to identify areas for improvement and to highlight and share good practice.

Paul Sanguinazzi, Head of Involvement, says: “The views of people who use our services are vital in helping us to find out how we are doing and how we can improve. This is a great way for people to help shape the services that we provide and we hope that people will take the time to complete this important survey.”

The survey results will be published in September 2010 by the Care Quality Commission on their website at www.cqc.org.uk
