The Nottinghamshire Healthcare Facebook page and Twitter account is run by the Trust’s communications team on behalf of the organisation.
Availability
We monitor and update our Facebook and Twitter accounts most weekdays, between 9.00am and 5.00pm. We accept no responsibility for lack of service during Facebook/Twitter downtime.
Postings/Tweets
Nottinghamshire Healthcare will usually post one to two times a day on content generally including:
- news and events
- public health messages with a link to more information
- links to information from other NHS trusts or other relevant organisations.
- retweets about health from other NHS trusts or other relevant organisations.
Please note that mentions of information from another organisation do not necessarily endorse the origin.
We will remove any postings containing profanity or which make defamatory comments and will block those users from accessing and posting on the page in future.
Following on Twitter/liking on Facebook
Nottinghamshire Healthcare will follow Twitter users and like other Facebook pages which are relevant to the organisation. These include other NHS trusts, health professionals, voluntary organisations, other relevant public sector organisations, charities (this list is not exhaustive). We do not automatically follow/like people back if they follow/like us. Being followed/liked back does not imply endorsement of any kind.
We will cease to follow/like any users whose tweets/postings contain profanity or defamatory comments.
Responses to enquiries, @replies and direct messages
We answer any non clinical questions directly @us; any answer too long to fit on Twitter or of a confidential nature will not be posted online but a response provided privately and directly to that person.

Any medical questions or those related to a patient’s care will be directed to our Patient Advice and Liaison team.
We will also seek out any false statements and correct these where relevant.
Members of the media

Employees of Nottinghamshire Healthcare should refer to the Trust’s Social Media Policy before engaging in any social media activity.
