The Trust is committed to putting the needs, views and aspirations of service users and carers at the heart of what we do as an organisation. Involving service users and carers at all levels of the organisation and listening and responding to their views, experiences and ideas ensures that we provide high quality responsive services that meet people’s needs.
Our Involvement Strategy aims to ensure that:
-
Service users, carers and members work with us as partners in decision making to improve all areas of the Trust’s services
-
Service users, carers and members are listened to and responded to
-
Service users are offered opportunities for support and development, for recovery and for a better life
-
We promote the positive contribution of service users and carers to tackle the stigma around mental health, substance misuse and learning disability
Through people’s involvement we are keen that they develop new skills, knowledge and experiences that enable them to take up volunteering, education, training and employment opportunities.
The policies below set out how we involve people in the Trust in decisions, as volunteers and as employees, and how we pay and reimburse people for their involvement. They also detail how we share and develop information.
