The Trust wants to ensure that involvement in each directorate is well planned and systematic. The purpose of Directorate Involvement Plans is to ensure that this happens and that the Involvement Team can effectively support the directorates. The plans are based on the five standards for involvement, which are set out below:
Five Standards for Involvement:
1. We will ask people their views on the services we provide and let them know what action we take based on these views
2. We will involve people in shaping and reviewing the services we provide and tell people what we have changed as a result of this
3. We will involve people who use our services and their carers in the planning and co-ordination of their care
4. We will give people clear, accessible information about the services they will receive and about their care, medication and treatment/recovery options
5. We will treat people who use our services and their carers with dignity and respect
