INVOLVEMENT IN DECISION MAKING

  • Trust Membership Reaches 6000+!

The Trust now has more than 6000 public members, following recruitment at many healthcare and community events across the county. We are continuing to recruit members so that the public can have a greater voice in what happens in Trust services.

  • New Involvement Centre has Opened

A new involvement centre, 'Rosewood' has opened in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire. This new centre will give opportunities for people in the north of the county to be involved in Trust services and decicion making.

The exciting project for the planning and development of the new centre had been completely driven by service users, carers and partner organisations from around the county. The launch party was held on 17th November 2008 where Mike Cooke officially opened the centre.

The Rosewood Centre can be contacted on 01623 835210

  • Social Inclusion Forum

This exciting involvement opportunity gives service users and carers the chance to be directly involved in developing new well-being and social inclusion services accross the Trust. The group also supports the development of policies and procedures for these services and a role in evaluating and monitoring the progress of these services.

INVOLVEMENT IN SUPPORT AND TRAINING

  • Employment Resourcing and Interview Forum Group

This group of service users and carers are working with the Trusts Employment Service.  The aim of the group is to develop an interview skills training programme to enable service users, carers and members to be included in interview panels for the recruitment of new members of Trust staff.

INVOLVEMENT IN COMMUNICATIONS

  • Communications Group

The Involvement Team, in partnership with the Communications Team, have set up an involvement communications group, for the involvement of service users and carers in all aspects of Trust communications. The aim of the group is to ensure that involvement opportunities are advertised in the most appropriate way to keep service users, carers, the public and staff informed. Members of the group will be able to help develop and improve key Trust communication materials.

  • Positive Writing Group

The Positive Writing Group identifies and writes articles for the Trust Positive magazine on a regular basis. The aim of these stories is to highlight service user and carer involvement with the Trust and Trust membership.
