Local Involvement Networks

Local Involvement Networks (LINks)

LINks aim to give citizens a stronger voice in how their helath and social care services are delivered.
LINKs are run by local individuals and groups and independently supported.
The Carers Federation is the host organisation of Nottinghamshire County LINk and Nottingham CIty LINk.

The role of LINks is to:

  • Ask local people what they think about their local services and provide opportunities to help improve their local services.

  • Investigate specific issues of concerns to the community

  • Request information and receive ansers in a specififed amount of time

  • Be able to carry out 'spot-checks' to see if services are working well (using safeguards)

  • Make reports and recommendations and receive a response

  • Hold services to account and get results
