My name is Lee. I’m aged 25, good looking, a chatterbox - oh and by the way, I have a mild learning disability. I’m a happy, easy going person with the patience of a saint!

I was referred to the Community Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) last December. Because of past experiences I was suffering from emotional difficulties and depression.

CATT have helped me with my anxiety and confidence and got me involved with the Trust’s Anti-stigma Project.

I had to choose another person for us to have our photos taken wearing T-shirts with horrible names and nice names which I have been called. Deb wore a t-shirt with “idiot” and I wore one with “kind hearted”.

Doing the project made me feel really good about myself and I now feel a lot more happy and confident.

Seeing the photos made me feel wanted.

I spoke on the stage at the Trust’s Annual General Meeting in front of over 500 people. It was a really positive experience. Deb said I did a brilliant job - no shaking or anything!

I’ve now become a member of the Trust. I am looking forward to having my say in how services are run to help me and other people with what we need. The Involvement Team asked me to tell people what involvement means to me in their new DVD about the Trust so I am now a film star too!

I feel like I’ve got a lot to look forward to and support when I need it.
