Employment and Support Allowance
This only applies to new claimants at present. It will come into force starting from 2010 for those people currently on Incapacity Benefits.

Choosing between benefits and paid work?
The decision may not be as difficult as it seems. Direct Gov's Benefit's Adviser may be able to help.
If you prefer face to face advice, Ingeus (formerly Workdirections) will give you a 'better off calculation' on your first visit, as well as signposting to services that may be useful. Advice and support is free. Details of the office locations and opening times in Mansfield, Newark, Worksop and Nottingham can be found on the Ingeus website. Disability Employment Advisors in your local job centre are also able to provide 'better off calculations'.
