We offer help, advice and support in finding paid employment for people with severe mental health needs who live in Nottingham City, Rushcliffe, Gedling and Broxtowe who are currently accessing Nottinghamshire Healthcare secondary mental health services.
All our interventions are tailored to meet the unique needs and strengths of job seekers and the recruitment needs of local employers.
Our services are designed according to evidence based Supported Employment principles and practice commonly known as Individual Placement and Support.

What is Supported Employment?
Supported employment is a way of enabling people who need additional support to succeed in real, long-term and sustainable employment.
The following aims supplement this definition and the support process used by the Employment Connections service.
- Service users are hired and paid by an employer.
- They receive full employee entitlements.
- The job meets the employee’s aspirations for work.
- The work meets the employer’s requirements.
- The employee and employer receive the necessary support to ensure success.
