The Low Secure Inpatient Service has developed good interprofessional relationships with high and medium secure services, as well as general adult inpatient services, community services and criminal justice agencies in order to facilitate smooth pathways. Staff are trained and experienced in forensic mental health and have the ability to asses the complex interactions between mental disorder, substance misuse, social/environmental factors and pre-morbid delinquency and criminal offending.
