Social Inclusion and Well Being Service

Referrals to the Social Inclusion and Well Being Service are made via the Care Co-ordinator or Consultant from Nottingham City Services, Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe boroughs.

What do the teams do?

The service supports service users finding sustainable opportunities in the arts, sports and leisure, education, volunteering and employment.

The teams offer a range of individual and group works, enabling service users to achieve their goals.

Aims of the service

  • To provide a comprehensive service to individuals to retain or gain access to employment of their choice
  • To recognise and promote the role of education and voluntary work in equipping individuals with skills and experience for work
  • To meet the occupational needs of people who are not ready to work in ways which demonstrate their contribution to an inclusive society
  • To enhance hope, independence, self esteem and quality of life through activities
  • To reduce stigma and promote social inclusion
  • To maintain optimism for individual growth and recovery
