The Day Services (Intensive Interventions) Team works alongside teams within specialist CAMHS to deliver more intense and regular interventions for those children, young people (and families) who’s mental health issues are causing increased levels of distress and are significantly impacting negatively upon their everyday functioning. The interventions are delivered for a maximum of 12 weeks, and dovetail with existing plans of care, and are based on the views and wishes of the child and young person in terms of what they want from treatment.
