The team provides effective early recognition, assessment and treatment of co-existing mental health problems in a paediatric hospital setting, to reduce the number of unnecessary investigations and duration of in-patient stays, to improved adherence to treatment regimens, to increase psychological adjustment and well being of children and families in a hospital setting.
The team is based at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.
