Specialist Clinical Psychologists work within the team and also provide services to the NHS in-patient and day facilities in Nottinghamshire.
They have specialist knowledge and skills in cognitive behaviour therapy, family therapy, autism, risk management and research and are developing new therapies such as eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing and cognitive analytical therapy.
They are based either at the Department of Learning Disability at Highbury Hospital, or in Mansfield. Newark and Sherwood and Bassetlaw psychologists are co-located within Community Learning Disability Teams.
