The Speech and Language Therapy services provide Communication and Dysphagia (eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties) for patients and clients as individuals as well as to those who support them.
They work across all Community Learning Disability Team areas in community services and also in ring fenced specialist health sessions funded for specific services including Dysphagia, training and development, Assessment and Treatment (Community Assessment and Treatment Teams North and South), Communication Aids service, Intensive Interaction and Alexander House. Additionally they have a number of service level agreements with non statutory providers.
