Problem drug users aged 18 & over.
Services Offered
Primary Care-based clinics offering expert assessment & review of clients’ drug problems & treatment needs including:
- Harm minimisation advice & information
- Prescribing, short & long term
- Short-term therapeutic interventions
- On-going, ad hoc support
- Health promotion
- Relapse Prevention
- Onward referral as appropriate
- Assessment for funding for residential services
- Home visits if required
The team also provide advice, support & signposting to carers & significant others & act in an advisory capacity to all GPs & Primary Health Care Teams to ensure best practice.
We work in partnership with Compass, Framework, Progress 2 Work & other agencies as appropriate.
