Services offered
We offer a treatment focused clinical service to residents of North Nottinghamshire who want help with drug related difficulties.
Treatment modalities offered are:
- Harm reduction advice
- Community detoxification
- In-patient detoxification
- Maintenance prescribing
- Relapse prevention
- Assessment and referral for residential rehabilitation
A separate service ‘Direct Access’ exists for residents of Bassetlaw, Newark and Sherwood. The Community Drug Team do offer a distinct service in these areas for service users:
- With significant mental health problems not reaching assertive outreach, dual diagnosis criteria
- With persistent, protracted and heavy use of heroin, benzodiazepines, stimulants or alcohol
- With enduring or disabling physical health problems
- With complex child protection issues
- Requiring in-patient treatment
- Requesting residential rehabilitation
- That are pregnant
- That are stimulant users requiring intense structured interventions with a potential prescribing need
The team also offer training and support to other professionals, including GP’s.
