Welcome to the section of the Trust's website for present and prospective psychiatry trainees. There are many reasons to choose Nottingham as your place to train in psychiatry.
Nottinghamshire Healthcare is one of the largest mental heath trusts in the country, serving a population of over 1 million people across Nottinghamshire. The region is diverse and covers the vibrant, multi-cultural city of Nottingham, historic market towns and rural villages, as well as areas of outstanding beauty. This allows us to provide trainees a breadth of experience in psychiatry and provides ample opportunity for trainees to find the right place for them to live and make the most of their free time.
The Trust also includes Rampton Hospital, one of the country's three high-secure hospitals, providing interested trainees with unique training opportunites in Forensic Psychiatry.
The Trust also has strong academic links with the University of Nottingham and the Institute of Mental Health, home of the Mental Health Research Network hub for East Midlands and South Yorkshire.
Please click on the tabs on the left to find out more about why you should choose to live and work in Nottingham.
