Nottinghamshire Healthcare is proud of the working partnership it promotes, and the Trust's approach has been nationally and internationally recognised as leading the field.
Nottinghamshire Healthcare and its Staff Side have an agreed ‘Framework for Partnership‘ Policy that sets out a fundamental and serious commitment to promote a climate of active co-operation. This will achieve real service improvement and best practice in the employment, treatment and development of staff.
Partnership Workshops
Partnership workshops are regularly held to bring staff together at all levels of the organisation, to consider important issues around service delivery and good employment practice. The evaluation of the events are fed back to the lead representatives and also to a small steering group of staff who have put themselves forward to consider possible actions coming out of the events. These are subsequently fed back at the next partnership workshop.
The strength of the programme has been the effective loop of partnership working - a virtual circle of comprehensive staff involvement, which is being developed to include carer and user participation.
The comprehensive programme has been cited by both the Improving Working Lives and Investors In People assessors as excellent practice of partnership working and involvement. Also, it is fully in line with the national 'NHS Plan' in shifting the balance of power to front line staff, and putting the patient at the heart of all we do.
