Trust named Star Performer by Stonewall
Following the Trust’s success in last year’s Stonewall Workplace Equality Index, we are delighted to be named Star Performer for 2016.
Having been recognised in the top ten list at least three times in the last five years and gaining the top spot last year, the Trust has graduated to Star Performer status. This will allow us to work with Stonewall on initiatives that will help define future best practice that will be shared with other public sector organisations across the UK.
The Trust will also act as a mentor for Nottinghamshire Police to create a workplace culture that is inclusive of lesbian, gay, bi and trans people. We will work together to develop strategies that will ultimately help transform the workplace culture of the police force.
Julie Hall, Acting Chief Executive said: "This fantastic outcome does credit to our outstanding staff who treat every patient, service user and carer with dignity and respect, in a work environment where all employees are able to reach their full potential. Having appeared in the Workplace Index for a number of years, it is rewarding to see that our continued efforts to tackle discrimination and create an inclusive workplace have been recognised. We will continue through the Trust’s values, to develop a supportive environment where all staff can be themselves at work should they choose.”
