Orchid Ward

We offer inpatient care for men experiencing an acute mental health crisis, who cannot be supported in their own home.

Our service focuses on assessment of need, treatment, and recovery and places the service user at the centre of care planning.

Care is provided by a wide range of professionals:

  • doctors
  • nurses
  • occupational therapists
  • psychologists
  • support workers

The service is for men aged between 18 and 65 and those over 65 who remain open to adult mental health services in the community.

If your concern is about a current inpatient of Orchid Ward, please contact the ward directly.

If your concern is about a service user in the community or member of the public, then please contact the relevant mental health team involved, the local crisis team or the police if your concerns require an immediate emergency response.
