Physiotherapists are employed across the three directorates within the Trust. They provide expertise within a range different specialist services for individuals at all stages of their illness, condition and recovery whilst as inpatients or within the wider community. Services include:

  • Children’s Physiotherapy Services
  • Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
  • Community Therapy Services as part of Integrated Adult Services teams across south Nottinghamshire, mid Nottinghamshire and Bassetlaw
  • Community Mental Health Teams (CHMTs)
  • Community Stroke Teams and long term neurological conditions
  • COPD Services and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
  • Elderly Rehabilitation and Inpatient Therapy at Highbury Hospital, Lings Bar Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital
  • Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
  • Residential Reablement Service
  • Specialist Physiotherapy in Intellectual Disabilities Services

Physiotherapists within the Trust and across health and care providers use their professional knowledge and expertise to deliver patient care. They support healthier lifestyles, greater function and participation. They collaborate with others to develop new innovations and strategies to reduce delays and inefficiencies and to meet the growing demands on healthcare systems. Clinical specialist physiotherapists and emerging roles support Nottinghamshires Sustainability and Transformation Plans enabling and testing new solutions to enhance patient experience and improve outcomes.
