Boundaries

As we have learned, boundaries help us define what is okay and not okay in any relationship.

As a PSW, it is important to be constantly aware of our personal and professional boundaries in order to keep ourselves, and the people that use our services safe.

Therefore, the following pages consist of a familiar boundary checklist - to remind one’s self of what one considers an appropriate action for a PSW when with someone who is receiving PSW services. There is also copies of the PSW’s code of conduct, Nottingham NHS Code of Conduct and the 8 core principles of Peer Support - should one ever be in doubt of how they should be working.
