Public Governors - South Yorkshire and East Midlands

Judith Walker Judith Walker

Declaration of interest:

  • Self-employed part time legal assessor providing legal advice to the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service, General Dental Council and Nursing and Midwifery Council Panels.
  • Lay Chair sitting on similar panels for the Health and Care Professionals Council - it is possible that doctors or other health professionals employed by the Trust may appear before such panels.

About me:

For the past 14 years I was the Chief Crown Prosecutor for South Yorkshire and then East Midlands. I am used to speaking in public, representing views and developing strategies.

I hope to play an active role in the work of the Trust, building constructive relationships with the Board, representing the interests of members and commenting on the Trust's plans and proposals.

I hope to facilitate a strong two way dialogue between the Trust and the Council of Governors, holding senior people to account and ensuring they and the Board have feedback about how things really are. I have just retired and am currently enjoying having more time for friends, family and other interests.

We currently have one vacancy in this constituency.
