"Fresher" students going to university for the first time should make sure they've had the MenACWY vaccine to prevent meningitis and septicaemia, which can be deadly.

It is important everyone has a completed form which states if you would like them to receive their Teenage (DTP) Booster and MenACWY vaccines..

Before completing the consent form you will require a code for your child’s school.

How the vaccine will be given to your child

injection We are a team of skilled and experienced nurses and support staff. The MenACWY vaccine will be given as an injection in your upper arm so children will be asked to wear short sleeved tops on vaccination day.
