Community Dietetics

The information provided on these pages is intended for patients already under the care of the Community Dietetics Team.

  

Level 4 - Pureed Diet

IDDSI level 4 is for patients requiring a pureed diet, which is usually recommended for people who are not able to bite or chew food or have reduced tongue control. 

 

Level 5 - Minced and Moist Diet

IDDSI level 5 is for patients requiring a minced and moist diet. This may be because they struggle to chew or swallow well (dysphagia), have poor dentition or texture preferences.
