Children's Centre Services - Nottinghamshire Children and Families Partnership

Nottinghamshire Children and Families Partnership logo. Three children holding a partnership banner. Our Children's Centres have a range of services for families with children aged 0-5 years old. Some of these are at our purpose built centres, but many take place in community venues, parks and in the home.

Our main aim is to make things better for all young children, so that they are happy, healthy and ready for school. We want to provide help and support to young children and their families as soon as it is needed, helping to prevent any problems developing.

Our staff have expertise in health and family support, early years development, community development, communication and language and supporting adults back to work. Children's Centres work with many partner agencies to ensure we support families in whatever area they need.

Each Children's Centre has its own programme of weekly activities, and services may vary. Activities may include:

  • Breastfeeding support
  • Under ones' group
  • Messy play
  • Musical development and play
  • Parents' groups
  • Volunteering

We have published an Impact Report highlighting key aspects of the work undertaken since the start of Nottinghamshire Children and Families Partnership. The report aims to celebrate our successes and highlight what works in order to inform our ongoing service provision, and demonstrate the significant difference Children’s Centre services make.

A collection of stories, comments and quotes has also been published showing the impact our Children's Centre Services have had on the families we have supported.
