Roland FosterI qualified as a Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities) in 2002, initially working in a hospital setting supporting adults with profound and multiple disabilities with complex health needs. My interest in training began when I moved to support Social Care staff providing short stays for adults with complex health needs and developmental disabilities.

I moved to children’s services in 2007 and have held a variety of roles supporting children with disabilities and complex health needs including short breaks, CAMHs Emotional Health and Well Being, and supporting Social Care Integrated Children’s Disability Services. I have enjoyed the large training and development role at the centre of each of these positions.

I am passionate that children and young people with developmental disabilities and/or health needs should have the best care and support. Delivering the right, high quality training and skill development will enable carers to carry out their roles confidently, safely and effectively.
