Sending this referral does not guarantee that CAMHS will provide assessment or support. We are one of many providers who support Children and Young People with mental health difficulties.
A CAMHS clinician will review your referral and decide what support is most suitable. This may include:
- Providing advice and guidance
- Signposting to other services
- Referral to specialist support if needed
- Contact from CAMHS SPA to discuss the referral in more detail
- Accept for assessment with CAMHS
CAMHS uses the THRIVE framework. This means you will be directed to the service that best meets the child or young person's needs, which may sometimes be outside CAMHS.
