Blended Diet Enteral Feeding
This session is designed to provide learners with information regarding how to safely administer a blended diet via a gastrostomy device, and considerations surrounding the safe use of blends.
The learner should first attend Gastrostomy Feeding within the last 12 months prior to attending this session.
Competency assessments are required for this training, however these will be completed as part of the Gastrostomy competency assessment.
Please note: on receiving a referral for the training, a nurse from the Training Team will contact the referrer to gain further details. Prior to competency assessments it is necessary for each setting to ensure they have a feeding care plan from a dietitian in place.
