Ashfield Voluntary Action is a registered charity which serves the Ashfield District of Nottinghamshire. They run a range of services and activities for individuals and can also signpost you to other services in the area to support you.

Cornwater Evergreens provides a range of services to facilitate the wellbeing and happiness of older people.

 

Day services (Nottinghamshire County Council)

Day opportunities, also known as day services, provide individuals with the chance to get out and do something during the day, evening or weekends. Opportunities include:

  • social activities
  • education, employment and training
  • local facilities and housing

 

Dementia Golf Sessions (Golf in Society)

Our golf sessions are the perfect way to keep active, meet new friends, build confidence, learn new skills and have fun in beautiful, natural surroundings.

Open Door1 - Dementia Services

Open Door is a committed team of people who have worked in dementia services for many years. They formed to provide a service to people who suffer from the effects of early stage memory loss (dementia).

The Ashfield and Mansfield Open Door is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10am - 2:30pm.

 

Radford Care Group

Radford Care Group is a purpose-built centre that offers daytime activities for older people in Nottingham, with extended facilities for the more frail elderly. Our programmes of special support sessions for carers of people with dementia will give an improved understanding of all aspects of dementia.

 

Singing for the Brain group for people living with Dementia

Join our Singing for the Brain group and meet new people in a friendly, fun and social environment. Singing improves your brain activity, wellbeing and mood, and you don't need to be a good singer to benefit. Join us for fun vocal warm-ups and sing a wide variety of familiar and new songs.
