Well Led Review

A report was published by the Care Quality Commission on an inspection of the trust's leadership in September 2025. The trust rating remains as Requires Improvement which is disappointing and concerning for everyone who uses and relies on our services.

You can read the open letter from our Chief Executive and read a copy of the findings here.

External inspections are an important way of helping us learn and to make the improvements that are needed. We accept the CQC's findings and recognise where improvements are necessary. Understanding people's experience of our services offers us valuable insight into what we are doing well and where we can improve, and involving our patients, families and staff teams in co-producing changes and improvements is the key to delivering the best solutions. We have already started making improvements since the CQC's last inspection and are working on a Participation strategy which will provide new opportunities for involvement at the trust.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has taken the time to provide feedback and has been involved and participated in shaping what we do.  You are valued and your passion, dedication, and commitment to helping the trust improve is inspiring and we truly appreciate it.

We will be running some feedback workshops to hear from you about the Well Led review and to enable you to get involved to set and monitor the actions we take to build change of the future.

Associate Director of Participation, Coproduction and Carer Experience
