Access to hospital sites

Highbury Hospital, Bulwell, Nottingham

If you are based in Nottingham, you will have been issued with a Highbury fob during your Induction.

  • This will enable you to gain access to the hospital out of hours, and to the on-call bedroom on the first floor.
  • It will also enable you to access the main car park out of hours (the barrier is in place from 9.30pm to 6.30am every night).
  • You will still need to buzz to gain access to each ward.
  • A set of keys and pin-point alarm should also be available for you on Rowan 2 Ward.

Hopewood, Sherwood, Nottingham

You will need to collect and sign for a fob from the key press at the Mother and Baby Unit.

  • This will then enable you to access the Reception area in the Adolescent Unit (The Lookout), where you will be able to obtain a set of keys for the Adolescent Unit wards from the Electronic Traka Cabinet.

For information on how to use the Electronic Traka Cabinet please contact medicalworkforceenquiries@nottshc.nhs.uk.

Sherwood Oaks Hospital

  • Please report to reception which is manned 24 hours a day for 7 days a week.
  • Reception staff will provide you with a fob and keys for the site.

Blossomwood, Mansfield

  • There is a key and fob that you can access from the key box at Alder Court to help with access
  • There is an on-call room available at 1 Alder Court (next door to the Morrisons) the key for the house can be accessed from the safe at the front of the house.
  • There's a tracker cabinet system in the room where you can take the keys and alarms out to be able to access the wards/clinic rooms - this is located to the right of the main door in Blossomwood.
