What is Loop?

Loop is our staff side electronic rostering system that gives the ability for our teams to know who is at work, who is on a period of absence and who is on-call for a particular area. This is a new system for Medical Staff but has been used by our agenda for change colleagues for several years. This system was procured in 2025 for Medics to support the overview of rostering, ability to book annual leave and study leave, as well as being able to record absence.

 

What can I do and see on Loop?

For you as an individual, you can book annual leave and study leave, as well as view your own rota and your team rota.

You will also be able to see any periods of sickness or other absence that is recorded under your profile.

How to view the Rota

1. Log into your loop account and it bring you onto the news feed
2. Select calendar
3. This then shows you, your rota
4. Select the Team tab at the top
5. This shows you the team rota
6. You can scroll across on the date to see different weeks.
