Virtual healthcare assistant recruitment event for Wathwood Medium Secure Unit
Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to invite individuals to attend an upcoming virtual recruitment event for Healthcare Assistant (HCA) roles at Wathwood Medium Secure Unit in Rotherham.
The online sessions will take place on:
- Monday 16 March 2026 - 6pm
- Thursday 19 March 2026 - 6pm
These sessions are designed for those interested in learning more about the Healthcare Assistant role within a Medium Secure Forensic Unit. Attendees will gain valuable insight into working with individuals with mental health needs in a secure setting and understand the vital role HCAs play in delivering safe, compassionate and recovery-focused care.

What it’s like working at Sherwood Oaks Hospital
Sherwood Oaks is a 70 bed unit which opened in November 2022. Based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, Sherwood Oaks hospital is in a prime location with links to public transport.
The hospital provides Adult Mental Health (AMH) Inpatient Services and treatment for men and women who are experiencing acute mental ill-health conditions, such as psychosis and personality disorder, across Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Bassetlaw.
The hospital provides on-site free parking, and is only a stone’s throw away from some great local amenities, including a Costa, Greggs, Supermarkets, Gyms and retail shops.
