Youth Impact Board
The Youth Impact Board (YIB) is Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's first ever youth-led panel, created to make sure young people's voices are at the heart of how we design, deliver and improve our services.
Made up of 16-24 year olds from across Nottinghamshire, the YIB works alongside NHS professionals to:
- Shape and improve services for children and young people, including CAMHS
- Champion youth voices so that services reflect the needs of diverse communities
- Challenge barriers that prevent young people from receiving the best possible care
- Support the younger NHS workforce, helping to improve their pathways and experiences
This isn't about being consulted - it's about co-creation. YIB members are partners in change, sharing their lived experiences, leading projects, influencing decisions and making sure every young person has a voice in the future of healthcare.
The Board also gives its members opportunities to grow - with mentoring, training, flexible involvement, and paid roles that build confidence, skills, and even pathways into future NHS careers.
Together, we're building services that are inclusive, accessible, and shaped with young people, for young people.
