Community Nutrition and Dietetic Service

We provide advice on diet and nutrition to adults and children across Nottinghamshire. We offer care in different settings, including one to one appointments and group sessions.

Adults

We support adults with:

  • Malnutrition
  • Diabetes
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Coeliac disease
  • Irritable bowel disease

Children

We support children with:

  • Cow's milk protein allergy
  • Feeding difficulties linked to autism
  • Faltering growth

Group education

We also run a structured group education programme for people with type 2 diabetes. This is called the DESMOND programme.

Accessing our service

To use this service, your GP or Community based health care professional will need to refer you. You must be registered with a GP in the following areas:

  • Mansfield and Ashfield
  • Newark and Sherwood
  • Rushcliffe
  • Broxtowe
  • Gedling

All health professionals can refer patients via Systmone. Referrals to be sent to Nutrition and Dietetic Service.
