People’s Emergency Briefing – film screening at Rampton Hospital
The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future. The climate and nature crisis threatens all aspects of British life from national security and health to food supply and energy resilience. The National Emergency Briefing has been commissioned to present the latest evidence and build a call for the Government to stage a televised emergency briefing.
The new film from the National Emergency Briefing sets out the risks facing the nation and the credible, positive responses available in a clear and accessible account.
Join us for a screening of the film in the Mike Harris Centre at Rampton Hospital on 11 August at 7pm. The film is 50 minutes long and afterwards, there will be time to reflect, share your thoughts, and connect with others in the room in a calm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space. The Trust has taken the opportunity to support this call for action and is screening the film for both its colleagues, and the general public. Not only does this align with our work at an organisation to deliver a Net Zero NHS, it also helps to the highlight the impacts that a changing climate will have on service delivery and how we will need to adapt be effective for both our patients and the planet.
