Shortlisted in the East Midlands PA Awards

We are delighted to have colleagues shortlisted in the East Midlands PA Awards.
Rhianna Bircumshaw, Business Support Manager for the Finance, Procurement and Contracting team (pictured right), has been shortlisted in the Business Support Manager of the Year category. The Mid Nottinghamshire's Admin Leadership Team has been shortlisted in the Team of the Year Award category.
Since joining the team Rhianna has had to develop many processes and procedures to ensure the team operates in the most efficient way possible. There have been numerous occasions where she has been asked to pick up new work, such as supporting with budget holder training, that she wasn't familiar with and has carried out the work to an incredibly high standard, with a mature and positive attitude. Rhianna is always ready to help any one that may need it, her positive attitude goes a long way in a pressured environment and helps people more than I think she knows. Alongside her role, Rhianna is also an equality diversity and inclusion and disabilities ambassador for the Trust, and One NHS Finance , both of which she chose to take on as these are passionate subjects for Rhianna.
Rhianna said: I'm extremely grateful to be nominated by my colleagues for East Midlands Business Support Manager of the year through PA Awards. I attended a finalist interview at Loughborough university and was made to feel very welcome. I was advised that this is the first year that staff from the NHS had been nominated, and although still very few nominated in comparison to all organisations in the East Midlands, I am delighted to be one of them and am excited for the finalist event later this year.
Hayley Gorner is the lead of the Mid Nottinghamshire Admin Team and was nominated, alongside the rest of her team, as she is dedicated to improving changes, responsive and compassionate.
Hayley shows resilience, the ability to problem solve, and bring her team together across many different locations in order to support each other.
Kerry Watson, Operational Manager - Mansfield, Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Newark & Sherwood LMHT's & the IPS Service who nominated the teamsaid: I'm massively thankful for all that our admin colleagues do. Our clinical services can't run without our amazing admin staff who often work so hard in the background, without the recognition they truly deserve.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony on 2 October
