Only visit your local Emergency Department for serious life-threatening conditions that need immediate medical attention including persistent severe chest pain, loss of consciousness, acute confused state, severe breathlessness, severe blood loss, serious burns or suspected stroke.
The Liaison Psychiatry team provides a service for patients in a general hospital setting, who are aged over 18 and either present to the Emergency Department, or are admitted to an inpatient ward and are experiencing mental health problems.

We are an emergency only service. Members of the public cannot refer themselves directly to our service.
We take referrals from health professionals at Bassetlaw District General Hospital or emergency referrals from GPs.
The site is accessible by wheelchair.

Visitor parking is available on site. Some spaces have been designated for use by blue badge holders only.
Outside of office hours please contact your GP service, NHS 111, or in an emergency attend your local Accident and Emergency (A&E) department.
Any health professional from Bassetlaw District General Hospital can refer over the phone for a hospital inpatient on extension 2590.
Health professionals outside of the hospital cannot refer directly onto our service.
