Visiting the unit
How do visits work?
Visiting hours on the three wards are:
Monday to Friday: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays:
- 9am to 12pm
- 1pm to 5pm
- 6pm to 8:30 pm
If parents or carers cannot visit during these times, they should speak to the MDT. In some cases, exceptions may be possible. Mealtimes are protected, so visits are not allowed unless they are an agreed part of the young person's care or treatment plan.
All visitors must:
- Book a visiting slot with reception in advance.
- Be approved by the young person's parents or carers, who should give a list of allowed visitors.
- Be approved by the young person.
- Be over 18, or come with a responsible adult.
- Visit in groups of no more than 4, unless this has been agreed beforehand.
- Be identified by the young person, if this is appropriate.
- Sign the visitors' book at reception and say who they are visiting.
Disabled parking
There are disabled parking spaces in the top car park outside Pebble Bridge.
Visitors' room
The Lookout has a shared space called Café Corner. Families can use this area and buy drinks or snacks from the vending machines.
We also have a private visiting room. You can ask for this when you book a visit with our reception team.
When young people have grounds leave, families can also use the outdoor spaces if the weather is good.
