Some of our services now offer video consultations. You should speak to your clinician if this is something you would like them to consider. You can find out more about video consultation here.

Cardio-Respiratory Team

Physiotherapist looking and smiling at patient When you have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) or a lung problem, you can find it difficult to move around or do your normal daily activities without getting breathless.

Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team aims to help you cope with your breathlessness and to feel stronger and fitter at the same time. The team is supported by specialist community matrons who do oxygen assessments and have knowledge in COPD and heart failure.

After you are referred you will be invited to an assessment with the physiotherapist.

If we feel this service is right for you, you will be invited to attend the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Group and given an individual exercise programme. This will be two sessions a week for 6 weeks, and each session will last for two hours. Educational and advice sessions will be included as part of the programme.

Our service is for people aged 18 and over.
