This week, St Swithun's Church in Retford is hosting its annual Christmas Tree Festival, a tradition for over 20 years. From 23 to 30 November, the church is filled with over 80 beautifully decorated Christmas trees, each created by local schools, charities, businesses, and services.
This year, Rampton Hospital took part with a special tree grown and nurtured in our horticulture service. The decorations were handcrafted by patients from our Women's and Personality Disorder Services, with support from the woodwork department. The tree not only showcases the creativity and skills within the hospital but also promotes the Trust as a great place to work.
The festival isn't just about trees - there's live music, raffles, festive activities, and refreshments from the Christmas Tree Café. It's a wonderful way to bring the community together and highlight St Swithun's work supporting children, young people, and those facing addiction challenges.
