OSCARS 2026: Meet the finalists of the Team of the Year - Clinical
Nottinghamshire Healthcare is counting down to the Outstanding Service Contribution and Recognition Scheme (OSCARS) Awards Ceremony on 6 November. The OSCARS celebrates the dedication of our volunteers, colleagues and Bank workforce. It’s an opportunity to recognise the people whose hard work, compassion and commitment make a positive difference to the communities we serve.
This year, we received almost 900 nominations from patients, carers and colleagues. After weeks of carefully reviewing every entry, our judges have selected the finalists for the 2025/26 OSCARS.
Today we’re highlighting our Team of the Year Award - Clinical category, sponsored by TPP. This award recognises teams whose outstanding commitment to the Trust’s values is reflected in everything they do. Their collective expertise, compassion and teamwork have a positive and lasting impact on patients, service users, carers and colleagues alike.
Our first shortlisted team is the Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy Team. Despite navigating a period of significant change, staff shortages and rising demand, this exceptional team has continued to deliver outstanding care and support. Through resilience, innovation and a shared commitment to improvement, they have reduced waiting times, improved productivity and developed new ways of working, all while supporting one another every step of the way.
Our second shortlisted team is the Perinatal Community Mental Health Team. Providing specialist, compassionate support at a pivotal time in people's lives, this outstanding team has created a truly collaborative and inclusive environment where every role is valued. Their dedication to delivering personalised care is matched by their commitment to supporting one another, ensuring colleagues feel connected, empowered and safe.
The 145 Thorneywood Mount Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit Team is our third finalist. The team is recognised for its unwavering commitment to delivering compassionate, dignified and person-centred care. Every day, nurses, healthcare support workers, therapists and support staff work together to create a safe, welcoming environment where patients feel respected, heard and empowered throughout their recovery journey.
The fourth finalist is the Nottinghamshire Falls Prevention in Care Homes Team. This dedicated team has led an outstanding quality improvement programme, helping to enhance safety, improve care quality and reduce falls for older people living in care homes across Nottinghamshire. Working in partnership with care homes, Primary Care Networks and system colleagues, they have implemented a consistent, evidence-based approach tailored to the needs of each setting.
We’ll be announcing the winner on 6 November on our website and social media channels.
Our awards wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Our Gold sponsors are TPP, Isla Health, The Compassionate Mind Foundation, Hill Dickinson and BT. We've also been supported by Fleet Care Ltd, Mills & Reeve and Merrymeet Marketing.
