OSCARS 2026: Meet the finalists of the Team of the Year - Non-Clinical
Nottinghamshire Healthcare is counting down to the Outstanding Service Contribution and Recognition Scheme (OSCARS) Awards Ceremony on 6 November. The OSCARS celebrates the dedication of our volunteers, colleagues and Bank workforce. It’s an opportunity to recognise the people whose hard work, compassion and commitment make a positive difference to the communities we serve.
This year, we received almost 900 nominations from patients, carers and colleagues. After weeks of carefully reviewing every entry, our judges have selected the finalists for the 2025/26 OSCARS.
Today we’re highlighting our Team of the Year Award - Non-Clinical finalists. This award recognises teams who live Nottinghamshire Healthcare's values in everything they do. While they may not be directly involved in patient care, their dedication, teamwork and commitment make a huge difference to the people who use and are involved with our services.
Kicking off our Team of the Year Award - Non-Clinical, we're delighted to introduce our first shortlisted nominees: the Health Promotion Team. They may be a small team, but their impact is anything but. Through creativity, innovation and a passion for engagement, they help ensure the voices of children, young people, families and communities are heard and reflected across services. From involvement groups and digital resources to animations, magazines, newsletters and websites with more than two million views, they consistently find accessible and engaging ways to connect with people and make a difference.
The second team on the shortlist is the Blossomwood Facilities Team. This dedicated and hardworking team plays a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment for patients, visitors and colleagues. From preparing newly refurbished wards for reopening and maintaining high standards of cleanliness to delivering essential portering, catering and facilities support, their contribution is felt across every part of the site.
Our next team on the shortlist is the PALS and Complaints Team. Providing invaluable support to patients, families and colleagues, this exceptional team handles thousands of enquiries, concerns and complaints each year with compassion, professionalism and integrity. Their commitment to ensuring people feel heard, understood and supported is at the heart of everything they do.
The fourth team on the finalist list is the Administration Team from the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health. This dedicated team is at the heart of a highly specialist service, providing outstanding support to patients, colleagues and the wider team every day. Despite significant workloads and staffing pressures, they manage complex enquiries with professionalism, empathy and compassion, ensuring every patient feels respected, heard and supported.
We’ll be announcing the winner on 6 November on our website and social media channels.
Our awards wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Our Gold sponsors are TPP, Isla Health, The Compassionate Mind Foundation, Hill Dickinson and BT. We've also been supported by Fleet Care Ltd, Mills & Reeve and Merrymeet Marketing.
