This week, the Trust launches its new Strategy - Making a Difference 2026-2029 - a vision of the future services we aim to develop, the quality of care we intend to provide, how we want to support our people and the new ways we will work with our partners and local communities.

Developed from feedback from colleagues, patients, carers, and partners, it's centred around four pledges, which are:

• We put people first, caring for people as they wish to be treated, with patients, families and carers leading and shaping decisions.
• We join up care, working together locally to provide care and security to people in our communities.
• We support our people with the training, tools and compassionate leadership they need to do their best work.
• We use our resources wisely and responsibly to support people most in need at the right time.

This strategy belongs to all of us and throughout the Spring of 2026, we carried out extensive engagement with colleagues, volunteers, partners and service users. Thank you to everyone who contributed to its development.
